The role

The core mission is growing the client base and keeping them. The marketing manager owns acquisition metrics (leads, conversion to first visit, conversion to membership) and retention metrics (renewals, churn reduction).

There are many channels and tools involved — social media, events, influencers, partnerships, messaging campaigns — but we're a small business, and this isn't five departments. It's one engaged person who covers all of these areas, supported by freelancers and part-time help. The volume shouldn't be intimidating: the goal isn't to do everything perfectly at once, but to manage priorities and move the numbers.

Key responsibilities

Acquiring new members

• Content & social media — coordinating content production, briefing the designer, occasional hands-on creation (copy, reels, stories)
• Influencers — selection, negotiation, publication oversight, performance review
• Partnerships & media integrations — outreach, negotiation, effectiveness analysis
• Events — planning, coordinating hosts and venue rentals, end-to-end production (concept to post-analysis), event sales
• Paid advertising — setting up basic ad campaigns, coordinating with a specialist when needed, monitoring performance
• Campaigns — segmentation, copywriting, distribution (Sative bot, WhatsApp, Mailchimp)

Retention & reactivation

• Retention campaigns, triggered messaging, win-back flows
• Segmented communication (newcomers, active, at-risk, lapsed)
